Allow the Exhaust to Cool Completely
Switch off the engine and allow the vehicle to sit until the exhaust system has returned to ambient temperature. Do not rush this step. The exhaust pipe, original tip, and surrounding components will all be extremely hot after recent use.
Check New Tip Fitment
Before removing anything, slide the new tip onto the exhaust pipe temporarily to confirm it fits over the pipe diameter and that the clamp position will work. Check the tip sits centred within the bumper cut-out and at the correct depth.
Remove the Original Exhaust Tip
Locate the clamp or fixing securing the original tip. Using the appropriate tool (typically a hex key, socket, or screwdriver), loosen the clamp until the tip can be moved freely. Twist the tip gently while pulling rearward to slide it off the pipe.
Clean the Exhaust Pipe End
Wipe the end of the exhaust pipe with a cloth to remove any carbon deposits, rust, or residue left by the original tip. A clean pipe surface helps the new tip slide on smoothly and ensures a secure clamp grip.
Fit & Position the New Tip
Slide the new tip fully onto the exhaust pipe. Position it so it sits centred within the bumper cut-out, at an even depth, and level — not tilted up or down. Take your time with this step as the final visual result depends on it.
Tighten the Clamp Securely
With the tip in the correct position, tighten the included clamp firmly using the appropriate tool. The tip should be completely secure with no rotation or rearward movement when pulled. Do not overtighten to the point of deforming the tip or pipe.
Final Check
Visually inspect the fitted tip from behind the vehicle. It should be centred, level, and at the correct depth. Try to rotate and pull the tip — there should be no movement at all. Start the engine briefly and check for any exhaust leaks or rattles at the clamp joint.
